The illustration I completed of the angel Phanuel is described in ancient literature in the book of Enoch, which was said to have been written around the 2nd century BC.

The drawing of the Phoenix bird was one of the pieces I finished with a high contrast. This drawing was inspired by the writings of the early church Fathers, in the text ‘Clement of Rome’

This piece describes the angel Uriel in deep thought before being deceived by the evil one, as described in John Milton’s, Paradise lost.

The illustration was inspired by the book of Tobit, when the angel Raphael reveals he’s true identity after a period of disguise.
